Ku. Prerna Shukla got first place in Jeweling Throw Under -  17 in National Level. She has awarded by cash prize 2500/- by KVS and Certificate. She also participated in SGFI.

SPIC MACAY Programme : K. V. AFS, Makarpura, Vadodara, witnessed on 2^nd May 2012 , a time concert by Rani Khanam a renowned Kathak dancer and Choreographer under the umbrella of SPIC MACAY, accompanied by Sh. Akhilesh Bhatt on Table and Sh. Mahemmed Shohib Hasan on Vocal and Harmonium. The students, teachers and parents witnessed on unforgettable programme with a difference to be cherished for a lifetime.

Debate Competition: Debate competition held on date 28-04-2012 on fire. Maximum students participated in these events.

9 students have been selected by Air Force Station Team, Makarpura, Vadodara in drawing competition on the occasion of National Fore Service Week.

Wild Life Week : Wild Life Week celebrated from 16^th April to 21^st April In Vidyalaya. Different activities performed in Vidyalaya like slogan poster making competition, imbibe knowledge to student about wild animal etc.

Fire Safety Day: Fire safety day celebrated  in Vidyalaya from 14^th April to 20^th April 2012. In this occasion fire safety team arrived in Vidyalaya to know safety measure against fire prevention.

Annual Day(08-12-11) :  Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Makarpura, Baroda celebrated the Annual Day on 8th Dec 2011. The cultural evening included many mesmerizing performances from the children. The chief Guest of the function was Air Cmde R.S.Sodhi, Chairman VMC & Air Officer Commanding, 36 Wing, AFS, Vadodara. The guest of honor was smt. Kamna Sodhi, President AFWWA (L) Vadodara. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the auspicious lightning of the lamp and welcome by the Principal, Sarita Naswa. The Annual report giving the glimpses of the activities & achievements during the academic year 2011-12 (till date) was read by the Vidyalaya captain. The tiny tots of the school presented the fountain of their talents by presenting dances on ‘Bachchon ki Natkhat Duniya’ . A bouquet of beautiful classical dance was presented by the Secondary girls on Rabindra Sangeet & Ganga, that left the audience enthralled. The Secondary section also staged a play on the lifestory of Swami Vivekanandji. The most enchanting was Ganesh Vandana that set the evening rolling. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sodhi congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the children and the staff. Prizes were given to the achievers both in academics and other branches by the guest of honor smt. Kamna Sodhi. On the whole, it was a wonderful recall of our cultural heritage with blend of music, rthym and dance.

Children's Day(14-11-11) :  Vidyalaya has celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Beloved Chacha Nehru as Children's Day. In this occassion a Fancy Dress Competition was organised and sweets were distributed to children.

National Education Day(11-11-11): Vidyalaya celebrated National Education Day on the Birth  anniversary of Independent India's First Minister for Education Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. A quiz for all students was organised on this day.

Traffic Awareness Programme(09-11-11): Mr. Rahim Y Shaikh, P.S.I. Road Safety, Vadodara Traffic Police and his team has given a lecture and guidance to all students on Road Safety and Traffic Rules.  They have given a presentation also specialy to students of class XI.

Annual Sports Day(05-11-11): Vidyalaya celebrated Annual Sports Day on 05^th November 2011. Air Cmde. R. S. Sodhi and Mrs. K. Sodhi, President (AFWWA) distributed the prizes for various sports activities.

Surprize Academic Inspection(02-11-11): Surprize Academic Inspection was carried out by Mr. P. Madan (Asst. Commissioner, KVS- Ahmedabad Region) on 02-11-11.

International Year of Chemistry (01-11-11):  Regional Level Debate, Quiz and Essay Competitions were held on 01^st November 2011 under Interanational Year of Chemistry 2011.  Mr. Dayawant, GGM (RGL-ONGC) and Mrs. Dayawant was present as the Guest of Honour on this occassion. Competitions were judged by Mr. P. Madan (Asst. Commissioner KVS- Ahmedabad Region), Dr.  Prakash Samnani, Associate Professor, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad University, Vadodara, Mr. Y. Vijay Shankar, Principal, KV ONGC Ankleshwar and Mrs. Rajni Taneja, Principal KV Kribhco Surat.

Additional Commissioner Visit(22-10-11) : Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Additional Commissioner (Academics), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi visited the Vidyalaya on 22^nd October 2011. He observed the various Vidyalaya activities including the Virtual Classes over the Internet being conducted from this Vidyalaya in the interest of students of other KVs of Ahmedabad Region where regular teacher are not available.

Seminar on Chemistry (27-09-11) : A seminar was organised in the Vidyalaya for the students of class XI Science on the topic "Contribution of Chemistry towards well being of Humanity" under International Year of Chemistry-2011. The lecture was given by eminent scientist Shri A.Bhaumick, Scientific Officer, Heavy Water Plant, Department of Atomic Energy, Vadodara.

Grand Parent's Day( 26-09-11): Vidyalaya celebrated Grand Parent' Day on 26^th September 2011.

Career Counselling : Mr. Parikshit Chitnis an Environment Engineering graduate ) delivered a lecture followed by an interactive session on " Career Opportunities in Environment Engineering" on 24th September 2011. The lecture was organised for class XII Science studens and around 80 students were present in the session.

Career Counselling : Mr. Uttam Pal an IITian (Mumbai) delivered a lecture followed by an interactive session on " Career Opportunities in Pure Sciences" on 20th August 2011. The lecture was organised for class XII Science studens and around 80 students were present in the session.

KVS Tagore Mahotsav: An entry submitted by Mas. Hitendra Kumar Mishra of class VIII has been stood second  for KVS Tagore Mahotsav Group B(Book Review-Hindi) on Geetanjali. Mas. Hitendra will recieve this award in a felicitation ceremony to be held on 07th May 2011 at New Delhi.

KVS Tagore Mahotsav: An entry submitted by Kum. Neha Yadav of Class XI has been selected for KVS Tagore Mahotsav Group A (Essay Writing-English) National level Competition. The entry stood first at regional level in Group A-English. One more entry submitted by Mas. Hitendra Kumar of class VIII under Group B (Book Review-Hindi) stood first at regional level and selected for National Level. Both student Kum. Neha Yadav and Mas. Hitendra will receive a certificate and a Cash Award of Rs. 3000/- each from KVS Ahmedabad Region.

National Science Day Competition: Mas. Ashutosh Pandey has been selected to Represent the region at KVS National level Quiz Competition based on Chandrashekhar Venkat Raman on National Science Day.  The Regional team of four student stood second at National level.
